在结算圣甲虫灾难的触发式异能时，所结附的牌手选择一张要弃掉的牌（但不需展示），选择一个要牺牲的非地永久物，或选择两者都不作。然后该牌手弃掉该牌、牺牲该永久物，或失去3点生命。该牌手始终可以选择失去3点生命，就算其有牌可弃或有非地永久物可牺牲也是一样。
While resolving the triggered ability of Torment of Scarabs, the enchanted player chooses a card to be discarded without revealing it, chooses a nonland permanent to be sacrificed, or chooses to do neither. Then that player discards that card, sacrifices that permanent, or loses 3 life. That player can always choose to lose 3 life, even if they have cards to discard or nonland permanents to sacrifice.
